Last updated May 9, 2026 · Version 1.0

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences and session across requests.

2. Cookies We Use

Praxis uses the following cookies:

  • next-auth.session-token - Session authentication cookie (NextAuth). Essential. HttpOnly, Secure. Expires when you sign out or after 30 days of inactivity.
  • next-auth.csrf-token - CSRF protection token. Essential. Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks.
  • next-auth.callback-url - Stores the URL to redirect to after sign-in. Session-scoped.
  • praxis-theme - Stores your light/dark theme preference. Functional. Local storage only.
  • praxis-motion-enabled - Stores your animation preference. Functional. Local storage only.

3. What We Do NOT Use

We do not use:

  • Third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Cross-site tracking or fingerprinting.
  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar.
  • Social media tracking pixels.

4. Essential Cookies

The session and CSRF cookies are strictly necessary to operate the platform. Without them, authentication and secure form submissions would not work. These cannot be disabled while using Praxis.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies via your browser settings. Note that deleting authentication cookies will sign you out of Praxis. Theme and motion preferences stored in localStorage can be reset from Settings → Preferences.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the platform evolves. Changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.
